98a98 Poker — Texas Hold'em, MTT Tournaments & Online Cash Game for Brazilian Players

Poker is one of the most fascinating card games ever created — and there's a good reason it has built such a massive fanbase in Brazil over the past few years. Unlike many other casino games, in poker you're not just playing against the house: you're playing against other players, and your skill, patience, and ability to read the table make a real difference over the long run. The 98a98 understands this dynamic and has built an online poker room that respects the Brazilian player — from micro-stakes all the way to high roller.

For beginners, Texas Hold'em is the natural starting point. It is the most widely played format in the world, with rules that are relatively easy to pick up, yet strategic depth that takes years to fully master. At 98a98, you will find micro-stakes tables with blinds of R$ 0.05 / R$ 0.10, where you can learn the game without risking more than R$ 10.00 per session. This gradual progression — starting small, learning from hands played, and moving up to higher blinds as your bankroll and skill level grow — is the healthiest and most effective way to develop your game.

98a98's MTT tournaments are arguably the most exciting poker product on the platform. With buy-ins starting at just R$ 10.00 and guarantees reaching R$ 30,000.00 in the Sunday Major, any player has a real shot at turning a small stake into a significant prize. That's because tournaments pool every participant's entry into a single prize pool, then pay out the top finishers — typically the best 10% to 15% of the field. A player who takes 1st place in an MTT with 300 entries and a R$ 8,000.00 guarantee can walk away with anywhere from R$ 1,800.00 to R$ 2,500.00, depending on the payout structure.

For players who want faster results without committing an entire evening to an MTT, the Sit & Go are the answer. You join, wait for the required number of players to fill up (usually 6 or 9), and the tournament begins. In 6-max format, a game can last between 45 minutes and an hour and a half — enough time for a full session during a work break or before bed. 98a98 offers Sit & Go in standard, turbo, and hyper-turbo formats, where blinds escalate even faster for even shorter games.

One technical aspect that many new players overlook but regulars keep a close eye on is the rake — the fee the poker room takes from each cash game pot. At 98a98, the rake is competitive with the market, and the 30% rakeback program returns a meaningful portion of your weekly rake straight to your account. For players who put in regular sessions throughout the week, that rakeback adds up to real money that makes a significant difference to long-term results. If you're going to play regardless, choosing a room with a generous rakeback like 98a98 makes all the difference.

Mobile access deserves special attention. Most Brazilian players primarily go online via their phones, and 98a98 was built with exactly that in mind. The poker tables, tournament lobbies, and deposit and withdrawal flows all work seamlessly on mobile — no separate app required. You can have the Brasileirão on TV, phone in hand playing an NL50 session on 98a98, and cash out via Pix while the match is still going — all without leaving your browser.

98a98 freerolls are a genuine opportunity every player should take advantage of, especially when starting out. The welcome freeroll for newly verified accounts distributes R$ 2,000.00 in prizes with no buy-in required. Even if you don't win, it's a chance to play hundreds of real hands, make decisions under tournament pressure, and sharpen your reads — all without risking a single cent. Players who go through freerolls before moving to paid tables arrive with a foundation of experience that makes a real difference in their first real-money sessions.

Finally, a note on bankroll management — how you handle the money you use to play poker. It's one of the most overlooked topics among beginner players and one of the most important for anyone serious about playing consistently. The general rule for cash games is to have at least 20 buy-ins for the stake you're playing: if you play NL50 (maximum buy-in of R$ 50.00), your poker bankroll should be at least R$ 1,000.00. For tournaments, that number rises to 40–50 buy-ins due to higher variance. Respecting these limits is what separates players who enjoy poker sustainably from those who keep redepositing without understanding why they're not improving. 98a98 provides deposit limit tools to help you maintain that control automatically.
